Reason:

A Restore, Scan, or Compare job tried to access the multiplexing metadata from the tape indicated in the message, but the extraction of the metadata failed. The extraction might have failed for either of the following reasons:

• The multiplexing metadata on the tape is corrupt.
• An internal BrightStor ARCserve Backup error occurred.

Action:

Ensure that the Activity Log and the Tape log are available.
