Error 4216

Unable to update tape record

Reason:

SQL database was unable to update the tape record.

Action:

  1. Verify you have the correct login id and password. You can use the BrightStor ARCserve Backup Server Admin to change the User ID and Password.
  2. Run a Database base consistency check (run DBCC in SQL ARCserve manager) on the SQL database.
  3. Verify you have enough connections to your Microsoft SQL server. Every BrightStor ARCserve Backup job needs a connection. Go to SQL ARCserve Manager Server menu, SQL Server configuration drop-down menu and check the connection.
  4. Verify you do not run out of log space. You can check the log size at SQL ARCserve Manager.
