5.2 Solutions for AllFusion PM Version 4.1.4 Service Pack 3
Welcome to AllFusion Process Modeler Version 4.1.4 Service Pack 3, a member of the AllFusion Modeling Suite. This file is cumulative and contains product installation considerations, operating system support, and information about contacting Computer Associates Technical Support.
For a summary of fixes made to the AllFusion Process Modeler Sample Application, see the file readme_AllFusion_Process_Modeler_Sample_App.html.
AllFusion Process Modeler (AllFusion PM) Version 4.1.4 Service Pack 3 requires that you have one of the following operating systems installed:
If you are using AllFusion PM Version 4.1.4 Service Pack 3 with AllFusion® Model Manager, make sure you are using AllFusion Model Manager (AllFusion MM) Version 4.1.4 Service Pack 3.
The following requirements must be met or exceeded for AllFusion PM Version 4.1.4 Service Pack 3 to install and run correctly:
If you intend to share your process models with others using AllFusion MM Version 4.1.4 Service Pack 3, you must install AllFusion PM Version 4.1.4 Service Pack 3 on all workstations on which the model may be saved or opened.
If you previously installed a release of AllFusion PM Version 4.0 (including one of the service packs), the AllFusion PM Version 4.1.4 Service Pack 3 installation program detects the presence of the previous release and automatically installs the necessary files independently.
The Start menu path was changed to: Start, Programs, Computer Associates, AllFusion, Process Modeler, BPwin. If you find that there are extra items in the start menu, uninstall and then reinstall AllFusion PM Version 4.1.4.
If you want to preserve spell checking dictionaries that contain user additions from AllFusion PM Version 4.0, do not uninstall AllFusion PM Version 4.0 before installing AllFusion PM Version 4.1.4 Service Pack 3. Install AllFusion PM Version 4.1.4 Service Pack 3 in a different folder than AllFusion PM Version 4.0. The spell checking dictionaries are copied from AllFusion PM Version 4.0 to AllFusion PM Version 4.1.4 Service Pack 3 automatically.
The following sections provide detail on general considerations for AllFusion PM.
AllFusion PM Version 4.1.4 Service Pack 3 is enabled for use with AllFusion MM Version 4.1.4 Service Pack 3. See the AllFusion Model Manager Readme file and the AllFusion Model Manager Administrator Guide for installation instructions and advisory notes for using AllFusion MM Version 4.1.4 Service Pack 3 with AllFusion PM Version 4.1.4 Service Pack 3.

Each PDF guide in a documentation set has a unique Document Identification (DID) designation. The DID uses six characters to identify the guide, a hyphen, then two characters at the end to identify the edition and the language in which it is written. For example, E00074-1E identifies the first edition of the English version of the AllFusion Process Modeler API Reference Guide. When the second edition of this guide is published, the DID is incremented to E00074-2E.
The DID appears on the title page of PDF files. The DID without the hyphen is also used for the eight-character file name for PDF files on product media and on SupportConnect.
The DIDs and file names for this product's guides are:
| Guide Name | DID | File Name |
|---|---|---|
| AllFusion Process Modeler API Reference Guide | E00074-1E | E000741E.PDF |
| AllFusion Process Modeler Getting Started | E00076-1E | E000761E.PDF |
| AllFusion Process Modeler Methods | E00077-1E | E000771E.PDF |
| AllFusion Process Modeler Release Summary | E00078-2E | E000782E.PDF |
The DID for this readme file appears under the readme title; the same DID without the hyphen is used for the readme file name on SupportConnect.
