Welcome to CA XCOM Data Transport Management Center r11.5 (CA XCOM Management Center). This document contains known issues, and information about contacting Technical Support.
The following sections describe known issues for CA XCOM Data Transport Management Center r11.5.
If you are using HTTP or HTTPS to upload a file larger than 2 GB to CA XCOM Management Center, your user session is terminated.
If you are signed in to a session of CA XCOM Management Center and open a new browser window (File->New->Window), the new window is a clone of the original browser window, resulting in two identical user sessions.
This can be avoided using one of the following procedures, depending on your browser.
To open two independent browser windows in Firefox 3
A pop-up window allows you to create a new profile.
The name of the profile that you just created.
Firefox opens a second browser window, which acts independently of the first one.
To open two independent browser windows in Internet Explorer 6
Internet Explorer opens a second browser window. The two windows act independently and do not share the sessions.
To open two independent browser windows in Internet Explorer 8
These two browser windows act independently and do not share sessions.
The applet used in the Edit Transfer Record and Wizard pages of CA XCOM Management Center does not work properly with JDK 1.6 Update 20.
You need to install DB2 UDB V9.7 Fix Pack 1 for proper execution of some Management Center functions such as adding users, groups, and servers by the super admin user.
In the CA XCOM Management Center installer, if you enter parameter values on a page and then click previous without going to the next page, those parameter values may not be saved. You will then need to re-enter them.
If you uninstall CA XCOM Management Center, the uninstaller does not always delete the following:
If this happens, you need to delete the directory and file manually.
A JBoss PermGen out-of-space error may occur on the JBoss server.
One situation where this can happen is when you are running CA XCOM Gateway and CA XCOM Management Center on the same JBoss server.
If this error occurs, this is what happens:
To clear this error, you need to restart the JBoss server where CA XCOM Gateway and/or CA XCOM Management Center are running.
To avoid getting this error, you need to do one of the following, depending on your platform:
Edit the run.bat file in the JBoss bin folder and change the set JAVA_OPTS line to add the following:
-XX:MaxPermSize=256m
Example:
set JAVA_OPTS=%JAVA_OPTS% -Xms128m -Xmx1024m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m
Edit the run.conf file in the JBoss bin folder and change the JAVA_OPTS line to add the following:
-XX:MaxPermSize=256m
Example:
if [ "x$JAVA_OPTS" = "x" ]; then
JAVA_OPTS="-Xms128m -Xmx512m -Dsun.rmi.dgc.client.gcInterval=3600000 -Dsun.rmi.dgc.server.gcInterval=3600000 -XX:MaxPermSize=256m"
