Delete Policies

You can use the Process Policies page to delete policies from the policy database.

A policy can be deleted only if it has no stored files. So before deleting a policy, you need to change both of the policy’s retention periods to a low value (for example, 1 day). After this time period has elapsed, all of the policy’s stored files will have expired and therefore they will have been deleted.

Important! You must have Super Admin authority to delete a policy.

To delete a policy

  1. Log in to CA XCOM Gateway.

    The Home page appears.

  2. Click Admin.

    The Admin page appears.

  3. Click Process Policies.

    The Process Policies page appears.

  4. Select policies for deletion.

    Note: You can delete one or more policies at a time.

  5. Click Delete.

    A Delete Policies confirmation dialog opens.

  6. Click OK.

    The selected policies are deleted from the policy database.
