External Software for Supported Virtual Platforms

To enable virtual management functionality, CA Virtual Assurance requires external software for virtual platforms in your environment. CA Virtual Assurance can manage the following virtual environments:

• VMware vCenter Server
• Solaris Zones
• Microsoft Hyper-V
• IBM AIX LPAR
• Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS)

The management of these virtual environments requires the following components:

• vCenter Server AIM
• Solaris Zones AIM
• Microsoft Hyper-V AIM
• LPAR AIM
• Cisco UCS AIM

Note: For Microsoft Hyper-V, SystemEDGE and the AIM must be installed on each physical Microsoft Hyper-V Server.
