Generate the ACI Exit Replacement Text Files

You execute the VMXCPG (Control Program Generation) utility program to generate the replacement CP TEXT files. Use the following procedure:

  1. Logon to the CA VM Mainframe Product Manager installation user ID (usually VMANAGER).
  2. Establish the system administration product search order by issuing the VMADMIN command.
  3. Select the CA VM:Secure product deployment if a “Product Administration” screen is displayed.
  4. Select a specific deployment if you have more than one defined in your CA Mainframe VM Product Manager VMSERVER NAMES file. The selection screen is bypassed when you have only one CA VM:Secure deployment defined.
  5. Select SYSAD from the list of administration tasks. This selection will establish a CA VM:Secure System Administration search order.
  6. Verify that the correct version of the VMXRPI CONFIG file is in your search order. If it is not, then obtain the file, or create it using the steps in “Define the ACI Exit Parameters” (see page xx).
  7. Enter the VMXCPG command as follows:
    VMXCPG {ZVM540 | ZVM610 | ZVM620 | ZVMxxx}

    ZVMxxx

    Specifies the release of VM which will include the ACI Exit TEXT files

  8. During the execution of VMXCPG, you will see messages stating the names of CP TEXT files generated by VMXCPG. These filenames may be different for different releases of VM. The TEXT files are created on the system administrator A-disk. Send or copy these files to your VM service user ID (usually MAINT).

    In a Single System Image complex, the ACI exit routines must be installed in the CP nucleus on every member at the same time.
