The COUPLE record specifies that COUPLE commands for network interface card (NIC) devices are passed to CA VM:Secure for authorization by COUPLE rules.
COUPLE
An implicit COUPLE request, defined by the presence of a VLAN or VSWITCH specification on a NICDEF record in a directory entry, is also passed to CA VM:Secure for authorization by COUPLE rules.
