The ENCRYPT record specifies that encryption of passwords is in place and the type of encryption that is being used. This record is required for sites running the Password Encryption Facility (PEF).
ENCRYPT {REVERSE | FORWARD | DES3}
Specifies whether the CP component and the service virtual machine function with reversible, forward, or triple DES encryption of passwords.
