The system word (PRXSW) is provided to communicate information about the state of the system to the POSTRULE exit. For instance, you can set the system word to a value that tells the POSTRULE exit that system load is very heavy, and that only certain user IDs should be allowed to log on.
PRXSW is a one‑ to eight‑byte uppercase EBCDIC token that cannot contain any embedded blanks. The default value is an asterisk (*) with seven trailing blanks. Use the following command to set the system word:
vmsecure sysword set token
token is the system word.
