Reason:

You initiated the xxxMACUP EXEC to update a file, where xxx is the 3‑letter identifier for CA VM:Secure. The xxxMACUP EXEC reads the xxxMACUP DATA file to determine the file type of the source file that you want to update. The file type it obtained does not begin with a dollar sign ($). To update a file, its file type must begin with a dollar sign ($). The EXEC ends without updating the file.

Action:

If you have modified the xxxMACUP DATA file since it was loaded from the CA VM:Secure installation tape, reload a new version. Otherwise, contact Technical Support.
