DIRECT

The DIRECT statement specifies the device address and volume serial for a minidisk defined as a full volume minidisk on the volume containing the CP Object Directory cylinders. This minidisk is either owned by the product server, or owned by another ID and accessed by a LINK. Each member in an SSI complex has its own Object Directory volume. You place the MDISK or LINK for each member’s volume in the server SUBCONFIG entry. The virtual address must be the same. Because each volume serial is different, you use the following form of the DIRECT statement in the PRODUCT CONFIG file:

DIRECT vdevno m01res m02res m03res m04res

The virtual address is specified with the vdevno parameter. From one to four volume serials are specified, one for each member.
