Lists the history of requested actions against a user ID for all rules that specify the HISTORY option.
The *HS= comment is used only if the Rules Facility is installed.
Histories are stored at the top of the directory entries with older history comments pushed down. To set the number of history comments to store for a given user ID use the GENHS command. You can change this number at any time.
CA VM:Secure itself adds this comment to every user ID’s directory entry whenever any rule that specifies the HISTORY option is used against a user ID. When the maximum number of history comments is exceeded, the oldest one is deleted.
Note: Do not enter values for this comment.
The actual updating of the information in this special comment does not take place immediately at user ID logon. Rather, *HS= information is queued up for several user IDs and the updates are done all at once. These group updates are more efficient than updating individual *HS= comments one-at -a -time as each user ID logs on.
Use the DELAYHIS record to specify the amount of time for CA VM:Secure to wait before updating the *HS= special comment in directory entries.
Note: For more information about the DELAYHIS record, see the Reference Guide.
The information CA VM:Secure maintains in this comment looks like this:
*HS=mm/dd/yy 08:12:44 Accepted Logon from 10.0.85.49 *HS=mm/dd/yy 09:55:15 Rejected Logon from 11.0.45.2
The date of the requested action on this user ID.
The time of the requested action on this user ID.
The requested action and its disposition.
The terminal address (in the form of an IP address) that attempted to log on to this user ID.
If terminal address is an IPV6 address, then the *HS record does not include the address.
