If the Rules Facility is installed on your system, the *FL= comment indicates a user ID’s logon password status. Its password flag can be any of the following:
Password flag |
Meaning |
|---|---|
* |
Logon password is valid. |
E |
Logon password is expired. † |
N |
User ID is new. † |
R |
Logon password was reset by the directory manager or system administrator. † |
† This setting means that the user must change his logon password at next logon. |
CA VM:Secure itself adds this comment to every user ID’s directory entry. It updates this comment when the user ID’s logon password status changes.
