Starting CA VM:Secure and CA VM:Director Manually

Follow these steps to start CA VM:Secure or CA VM:Director manually (after your system is IPLed and is already running):

1. Enter the following on the CA VM:Secure server console:

   IPL CMS
   

   You will see a prompt asking if you want to start CA VM:Secure or CA VM:Director.

2. Respond to the prompt by entering yes.

   When CA VM:Secure or CA VM:Director completes initialization, with or without prompting of Steps 1 and 2, it displays the following message:

   product INITIALIZATION COMPLETE ON mm/dd/yy
   

3. Disconnect CA VM:Secure or CA VM:Director:
