BES Mirror Database Backup Frequency

It is crucial that you back up the BES mirror database regularly. Consider the following guidelines:

• You should back up the BES mirror database weekly after 6:00 a.m. on Mondays.
• Keep a minimum of five generations of the backup in a secure location.

Important! This backup must not be encrypted, so that you can recover the BES databases when BES is not operational. If you are using the SAF Interface BES.DEFAULT data set selection profile, you must define a fully-qualified data set selection profile and specify the encryption parameter DONOTENCRYPT.
