Keys for Future Use

You specify the number of keys to hold in reserve for future use. These keys are generated automatically with no user intervention required. Use the NumberOfGenerations attribute to specify the number of keys you want to generate in advance. After the currently active key is deactivated, these pre-activated keys become active keys in the order in which they were created.
