Mark a Currently Active Key as Compromised

Use the COMPROMISE= command to mark as compromised the active instance of a key.

To mark a currently active key as compromised

Enter the following console command:

BESn COMPROMISE=keyname
n

Indicates the BES task number.

keyname

Specifies the name of the key you want to mark as compromised.

The current instance of the key is marked as compromised. A new instance of the key is automatically generated so that the number of keys available is consistent with the number of keys specified in the NumberOfGenerations attribute.
