CA Tape Encryption Options

CA Tape Encryption integrates with all tape management systems and with other CA products to provide seamless and automated tape encryption.

The following options are available for CA Tape Encryption:

CA Tape Encryption Option for CA Disk

Encrypts and decrypts any archive or backup tape created by CA Disk Backup and Restore.

CA Tape Encryption Option for CA Vtape

Encrypts and decrypts any backstored or recycled volume created by CA Vtape Virtual Tape System.

CA Tape Encryption Option for CA 1

Encrypts and decrypts any standard label (SL) tape volume created in a CA 1 Tape Management environment.

CA Tape Encryption Option for CA TLMS

Encrypts and decrypts any SL tape volume created in a CA TLMS Tape Management environment.

CA Tape Encryption Option for Third Party TMS

Encrypts and decrypts any tape created in any third-party tape management system environment.

CA Tape Encryption

Decrypts any tape encrypted by any CA Tape Encryption option. This option, which is available free-of-charge, allows business partners to decrypt a tape without having to purchase one of the CA Tape Encryption options.

In addition, CA Vantage GMI is provided as an interface for monitoring and auditing CA Tape Encryption activity.
