CA LMP

The CA License Management Program (CA LMP) provides a standardized and automated approach to the tracking of licensed software. It uses common realtime enforcement software to validate the user's configuration. CA LMP reports on activities related to the license, usage and financials of CA products. The routines that accomplish this are integrated into the CA z/OS dynamic service code, S910 (the CAIRIM service). CA LMP features include:

• Common Key Data Set can be shared among many CPUs
• “Check digits” are used to detect errors in transcribing key information
• Execution keys can be entered without affecting any CA software product already running
• No special maintenance requirements
