About the TBESMFUT Utility

The TBESMFUT utility is a batch program that formats both CA Tape Encryption and CA Encryption Key Manager SMF events from an SMF dump data set generated by the SMF dump program (IFASMFDP).

The TBESMFUT utility can generate detail, summary, and statistics reports based on CA Tape Encryption SMF events.

The utility also handles user control statements. This allows you to specify StatsSMFRecordTypes associated with the following:

• CA Tape Encryption and CA Encryption Key Manager products
• User-specified CA Tape Encryption and CA Encryption Key Manager events
• BES address spaces
• Date ranges

This utility can run without an active BES task.
