Password Policy Dialog—Expiration Tab

The Expiration tab is where you configure events that disable user accounts.

Track Successful Logins check box

Enables and disables tracking of successful logins, including the time of the last login. If you enable this check box, the Policy Server writes the login information to the user directory.

When you enable this check box, the fields in the Password Expires from Inactivity group box are enabled.

Track Failed Logins check box

Enables and disables tracking of failed user login attempts. If you enable this check box, the Policy Server writes the login information to the user directory.

When you enable this check box, the fields in the Incorrect Password group box are enabled.

Authenticate on Login Tracking Failure check box

Enables and disables logins when user tracking fails. By default, this check box is disabled and if user activity cannot be written to the user directory, users are not allowed to login. However, if you enable this check box, users may login, even if password data cannot be written to the user directory.

This check box is disabled if the Track Login Details check box is not enabled.
