Active Responses Created for Custom Agents

The Policy Server does not send an active response to a custom agent when the value of the active response is null. You can override this default behavior by modifying the DWORD registry key named EnableNullValueResponse at the following location:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Netegrity\SiteMinder\CurrentVersion

\PolicyServer

To Enable Null Value Active Responses

  1. From the Windows Start menu, select Run.
  2. Type regedit in the Open field on the Run dialog, and click OK.
  3. In the Registry Editor, navigate to:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Netegrity\SiteMinder\CurrentVersion

    \PolicyServer

  4. Modify the DWORD registry value, as follows:

    Key Name: EnableNullValueResponse

    Key Type: DWORD

Key Value: 1 (enable null value active responses)

Default Value: 0 (disable null value active responses)

  5. Restart the Policy Server.

Note: The registry key named EnableRedirectNullValueResponse is deprecated.
