GetVariable Method—Retrieves the Specified Variable Object

The GetVariable method retrieves the specified variable object.

Syntax

The GetVariable method has the following format:

Netegrity::PolicyMgtDomain‑>GetVariable(varName)

Parameters

The GetVariable method accepts the following parameter:

varName (string)

Specifies the name of the variable to retrieve.

Return Value

The GetVariable method returns one of the following values:

• A PolicyMgtVariable object
• undef if the call was unsuccessful, or if the variable does not exist
