Implement Central Configuration

Central configuration is enabled by default. The Web Agent uses the configuration settings from the existing Agent Configuration Object that you specified when you configured the Web Agent with the configuration wizard. You can change the settings of the parameters to suit your needs at any time.

To implement central configuration

  1. Log into the Policy Server User Interface.
  2. In the System tab, click Agent Conf objects.

A list of Agent Configuration Objects appears.

  3. Double-click the Agent Configuration Object associated with the Agent on which you want to enable central configuration.

    The Agent Configuration dialog appears.

  4. Use the Policy Server User Interface to add, delete, or edit the parameters according to your needs. Click OK when you are finished making changes.

The Agent Configuration dialog closes and central configuration is implemented. Most parameter changes occur dynamically, but some require a web server restart.
