Mechanisms for Developing Web Applications

SiteMinder provides the following mechanisms for developing Web applications:

• Configurable response attributes

  Response attributes are sent by the Policy Server to the Web Agent to be included in HTTP headers or cookies. These are configurable by an administrator using the Policy Server User Interface and they are available for the Web Agent.

• Default HTTP headers

  SiteMinder has a set of default HTTP headers that are passed from the Agent to Web applications.

• Custom error handling

  SiteMinder allows you to make error information relevant to your application by customizing HTML text in standard HTTP errors or using custom error pages.
