Install the Producing-side Policy Server Option Pack

The Policy Server must already be installed prior to installing the Option Pack.

Note: The Policy Server Option Pack requires a JDK. For the supported JDK version, log on to the Technical Support site and search for the SiteMinder 6.0 Platform Support Matrix.

At the producing authority:

  1. Install the Policy Server Option Pack.

    See the Policy Server, Web Agent Option Pack Release Notes.

    Note: Be sure to import the affiliate data during the installation. The import is successful if the FederationWebServices domain object is in the Domains List in the Policy Server User Interface.

  2. Make sure that the NETE_JRE_ROOT environment variable is set and that it points to the JVM.

You may want to enable error and trace logging for the Policy Server to see the communication between the producing authority and the consuming authority.
