Prerequisites Before Integrating SiteMinder and CA SSO

Before configuring single sign-on from SiteMinder to CA SSO, CA SSO Client to SiteMinder, or CA SSO to SiteMinder, do the following:

1. Install and configure CA SSO.

   Note: When installing the CA SSO Policy Server, gather the following:

   • An SSO administrator name and password. The SiteMinder Policy Server uses the administrator name and password when authenticating to the CA SSO Policy Server through the smauthetsso authentication scheme.
   • The SSO ticket encryption key. The SiteMinder Policy Server smetssocookie active response requires this value.
2. Upgrade the Policy Server to 6.0 SP 4.

   For instructions, see the SiteMinder Upgrade Guide.

   Note: When enabling single sign–on, be sure that the SiteMinder Policy Server and CA SSO Policy Server are part of the same cookie domain and share the same user or authentication store.

3. Upgrade the Policy Server policy store to 6.0 SP 4.

   For instructions, see the SiteMinder Upgrade Guide.

4. Install the Web Agent or the 6.0 Secure Proxy Server.
