Configure a Windows Authentication Scheme

After meeting the prerequisites described in the previous section, you can configure the scheme.

To configure a Windows authentication scheme

1. Open the Authentication Scheme Dialog.
2. Complete the fields described in Authentication Scheme Dialog Fields and Controls.
3. From the Authentication Scheme Type drop-down list, select the Windows Authentication Template.
4. Complete the Protection Level field and Password Policies Enabled for this Authentication Scheme check box.

   Note: For more information, see Scheme Common Setup Group Box.

5. Complete the fields on the Scheme Setup tab as described in Authentication Scheme—Windows Template—Scheme Setup Tab.
6. Click OK to save your changes and close the Authentication Scheme Dialog.

   The authentication scheme may now be assigned to a realm.
