Configure a Basic Authentication Scheme

After meeting the prerequisites described in the previous section, you can configure the scheme.

To configure a Basic authentication scheme

  1. Open the Authentication Scheme Dialog.
  2. Complete the fields described in Authentication Scheme Dialog Fields and Controls.
  3. From the Authentication Scheme Type drop-down list, select Basic Template.
  4. Click OK to save your changes and close the Authentication Scheme Dialog.

    The Authentication scheme may now be assigned to a realm.
