Administrator Lookup Group Box

The Administrator Lookup group box is where you specify whether an administrator authenticates against the policy store or against an external user directory by selecting the corresponding radio button:

SiteMinder Database

Indicates that the administrator's username and password are stored in the policy store. When the administrator attempts to login to the Policy Server User Interface, the administrator's credentials are verified against the information in the policy store. If you select SiteMinder Database, you must enter password information in the Password group box.

External Directory

Indicates that the administrator's credentials are maintained in an external user directory. A user directory connection must be configured for this directory.

Note: This includes LDAP user directory connections with appropriate Lookup Start and Lookup End values.

The group box below the Administrative User Lookup group box is context-sensitive, changing from the Password group box to the Authentication group box according to your selection.
