Add an IP Address or Name Group Box
IP Address radio button

Indicates that you will enter the IP address of an LDAP user directory in the fields to the right of the radio button.

Domain Name radio button

Indicates that you will enter the domain name of an LDAP user directory server in the field to the right of the radio button.

Port field

Specifies the port number for the LDAP user directory specified in the Add an IP Address or Name group box.

If you do not specify a port number, the Policy Server uses the default port (636 for SSL and 389 for non-SSL).

Note: If you assign a port number to the last server in a failover group, that port number is used for every server in the failover group.

DNS Lookup button

Opens the DNS Lookup Dialog. Enter a host name in the DNS Lookup Dialog and click OK. The DNS Lookup Dialog closes and the IP address for the server appears in the fields to the right of the IP Address Radio Button in the LDAP Server Dialog.

Add Load Balancing button

Adds the IP address or domain name specified in the Add an IP Address or Name group box to a new line in the Load Balancing and Failover list in the Current Setup group box.

Add Failover button

Adds the IP address or domain name specified in the Add an IP Address or Name group box to the end of the selected line in the Load Balancing and Failover list in the Current Setup group box.

Note: If you are adding a server for failover, the failover directory must use the same type of communication (SSL or non-SSL) as the primary directory, since both directories share the same port number.
