Types of Responses

A response is a container for one or more response attributes. The response attributes are what a SiteMinder Agent receives after the Policy Server processes a response. The available response attributes differ based on the type of response.

There are three types of SiteMinder responses:

• Web Agent responses
• Affiliate Agent responses
• RADIUS responses.

The following sections discuss the different response types.

Note: You can also create response types for custom Agents and response attributes using the CA APIs (available separately with the Software Development Kit; if installed, see the Developer’s Guide for C for more information).
