How to Re–Register an Administrative UI Configured for External Authentication
Existing SiteMinder algorithms continue to encrypt the shared secret that the Administrative UI and the Policy Server use to establish an encrypted connection. Reregistering the Administrative UI creates a new shared secret that is encrypted using FIPScompliant algorithms.
Complete the following procedures to reregister an Administrative UI configured for external authentication:
- Delete the existing connection between the Administrative UI and the Policy Server.
- Run the Administrative UI registration tool.
- Gather registration information.
- Configure the Administrative UI and Policy Server connection.
- Delete the previous trusted host.
