Password Method—Sets or Retrieves User Password

The Password method sets or retrieves the user password for access to the user directory.

Syntax

The Password method has the following format:

Netegrity::PolicyMgtUserDir‑>Password([pwd])

Parameters

The Password method accepts the following parameter:

pwd (string)

(Optional) Specifies a new user password for access to the user directory.

Return Value

The Password method returns one of the following values:

• password (string)

  Specifies the new or existing user password.

• undef

  Specifies that the call is unsuccessful.
