SiteMinder Key Database Information

You only have to gather SiteMinder key database (smkeydatabase) information if you:

• Plan on using features related to Federation Security Services.
• Plan on configuring a SiteMinder Information Card Authentication scheme, for example, for the support of Microsoft CardSpace.

The Policy Server installer requires that you enter a password when configuring the smkeydatabase. The smkeydatabase password is used to encrypt the key and certificate data in the key database. You can use the SiteMinder Key Database Information Worksheet to record your value.
