Create a System DSN For Oracle

Before installing the iRecorder, make sure that a System Data Source Name (DSN) for the SiteMinder Web Access Manager Oracle database is properly configured.

To create a System DSN, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, Programs, Administrative Tools, and select Data Sources (ODBC).

    The ODBC Data Source Administrator dialog appears.

  2. Click Add, on the System DSN tab.

    The Create New Data Source dialog appears.

  3. Select Oracle in OraHome92 from the list of data source drivers, and click Finish.

    The Oracle ODBC Driver Configuration dialog appears.

  4. Enter the values for the Data Source Name and Description, select the TNS Service Name from the drop down list, and click Test Connection to ensure successful connection.

    The Oracle ODBC Driver Connect dialog appears.

  5. Click OK on the Oracle ODBC Driver Configuration dialog.

    The Oracle System DSN is created for SiteMinder Web Access Manager iRecorder.
