Uninstall the Administrative UI on Windows

You uninstall the Administrative UI when it is no longer required on the system.

Note: If you used the stand-alone option to install the Administrative UI, the following procedure applies. If you installed the Administrative UI to an existing application server infrastructure, see Installing the Administrative UI to an Existing Application Server.

To uninstall the Administrative UI

  1. Stop the application server.
  2. Open the Windows Control Panel and double–click Add/Remove Programs.

    A list of installed programs appears.

  3. Select CA SiteMinder Administrative UI and click Change/Remove.

    Note: If you upgraded the Administrative UI from r12.0 SP1, CA SiteMinder Web Access Manager Administrative UI is listed in addition to CA SiteMinder Administrative UI. Select CA SiteMinder Administrative UI to uninstall the Administrative UI after an upgrade.

    The process to remove the Administrative UI starts.

  4. Follow the instructions and prompts in the wizard.

    Note: If the system displays a message prompting you to remove shared file, click No to All.

  5. If requested, reboot the system.
  6. Open the Windows Control Panel and double–click Add/Remove Programs.

    A list of installed programs appears.

  7. Select Prerequisite Installer and click Change/Remove.
  8. The process to remove the Administrative UI prerequisite components starts.

    Note: If the system displays a message prompting you to remove shared file, click No to All.

  9. If requested, reboot the system.

    The Administrative UI and the required third-party components are uninstalled.
