Data Not Resent On Connection Reset by Backend (101608)

Symptom:

The SPS was clearing out form elements when a connection reset occurs. The form being used is an application that goes against a back-end database. When information is POSTED (which automatically occurs when you tab out of a form element) the element is cleared when going through the SPS proxy. The same behavior does not occur with an Apache RP.

Solution:

The server.conf file includes the following two new settings for caching POST data:

• enablecacheposetdata — Specifies whether the SPS caches POST data. The default is "No".
• maxcachedpostdata — Specifies the size of the POST data to cache. Default is 1024 KB.
