Feature Changes

The following CA Service Desk Manager, CA CMDB, and Support Automation features are changed in r12.5:

• CA Service Desk Manager Knowledge Tools
  • Knowledge Tools is renamed to Knowledge Management.
  • Image Preview is not available after you insert an image into your document or template in the HTML Editor.
• Change Impact Analyzer (CIA)

  CA CMDB and CA CMDB Visualizer replace the CIA capabilities. The CIA component is removed.

• Self Healing Automation

  Support Automation no longer supports Self Healing Automation.

• TConnect

  Support Automation analysts cannot initiate (TConnect) assistance sessions. The Support Automation end-user agent installer is available, but the Support Automation assistance session is always established after the end user logs into CA Service Desk Manager and launches the Support Automation end-user client from the CA Service Desk Manager interface.

• Support Automation Scripting Framework Functions

  The following scripting framework functions are deprecated in this release of CA Service Desk Manager:

  • SetLoginField
  • GetLoginField
  • SetProfileField
  • GetProfileField
  • AddKeyword
  • AssignToCategory
• Support Automation System Properties

  The following system properties are deprecated in this release of CA Service Desk Manager:

  • system.selfServe.maxScriptsAllowed
  • system.selfServe.maxSessionTimeAllowed
• FAXserve

  CA Service Desk Manager no longer supports FAXserve. Cheyenne FAXserve is no longer available as a product.
