Preserve CA APM Assets as Assets Only

By default, after migration to CA Service Desk Manager r12.5 from pre-PES installations, all assets are also CIs. Determine whether you want your UAPM assets to be CIs when you migrate the product to CA Service Desk Manager r12.5 from an environment that includes any of the following:

• UAPM and Unicenter Service Desk r11.2
• CA CMDB r11.2 without the UAPM PES
• Earlier releases

To preserve the pre-PES UAPM assets as assets only, execute the following SQL in your DBMS tool immediately after migration:

UPDATE ca_owned_resource
	SET is_ci=0;  

The pre-PES UAPM assets are preserved as assets only.
