Update a Configuration Item

The Scoreboard lets you modify a configuration item.

To modify a configuration item

1. From the Scoreboard, locate and open the configuration item.

   The Configuration Item Detail page appears.

2. Click Edit.

   The Update Configuration Item page appears.

3. Make changes to the configuration item information by selecting the appropriate tabs on the page and entering new data into the fields. Click Save.

   A message appears that confirms the configuration item modification.

Note: Whenever a CI is updated by using the –a option, the CI's Last Change Date and user displayed in the Configuration Item List are updated even if no attributes were changed. This update occurs whether a CI was edited in the user interface (and saved without changes) or updated by using GRLoader.
