Optional Software Requirements

You can use the following optional CA software with CA Server Automation:

CA AppLogic

Versions 3.0 and 3.1 are supported.

CA Configuration Automation

Versions 12.6 and 12.6 SP1 are supported for change and configuration management.

CA ITCM

Version 12.5 SP1 is required for all server and software provisioning. Patch RO46533 is required.

CA Network Automation Server

Version 6.3.41 or 6.4 is required to provide functionality for Cisco routers and switches that run on the Cisco Internetwork Operating System (Cisco IOS) in an enterprise location.

CA NSM

Version 11.1 or 11.2 is required to collect performance metrics using the CA NSM Performance Agent.

CA Process Automation

Version 4.0 or 4.0 SP1 is required to create process automation workflows.

CA SDM

Version 12.5, or 12.6 is required to open help desk tickets.

Versions 4.0 and 4.0.2. All storage arrays are supported.

SystemEDGE

Version 5.7.0 for 12.7, 5.6.0 for 12.6

Note: If SystemEDGE 5.7.0 it is not already on your system, the installation program installs it. SystemEDGE is required for the CA Server Automation AIMs. AIMs are functional extensions to the SystemEDGE agent.

SystemEDGE Releases 4.3.4, 4.3.5, 4.3.6, 5.0, 5.0.1, 5.0.2, 5.1.0, and 5.6.0 are supported for managing remote servers in your environment.

VCE Vblock

EMC UIM Version 3.0

Important! VCE does not recommend any type of provisioning of the Vblock component using a non-UIM product. CA Server Automation Vblock integration uses EMC ®Ionix ™Unified Infrastructure Manager (UIM/P). We do not recommend that you to manage and provision UCS Blade (Vblock UCS) using direct UCS Manager or the CA Server Automation UCS PMM.
