RSI enables you to deploy a complete image, including operating system and RSI agent, to a physical server or virtual machine that currently contains no software. Bare-metal deployment enables you to add a physical server, such as a UCS blade, or add a new virtual machine to your environment, and then provision it with a complete image containing all your software requirements.
Follow these steps:
The Add Bare Metal wizard opens.
Note: After you successfully deploy a Windows image, Windows runs chkdsk. The target system automatically restarts, then Windows runs PnP (plug-and-play) and installs drivers.
Note: Setting a host name overrides the host name in the image or in a profile.
The wizard submits a request to deploy the image to the target machine. Track the progress of the deployment in the Jobs pane.
