Configure Resources for Service Provisioning

To enable CA Server Automation to provision services, specify the environment resources available to host services.

CA Server Automation supports service provisioning to the following environments:

Note: CA Server Automation uses default OnDemand resource pools for service provisioning. To configure these resource pool or to specify other resource pools for service provisioning, use the administration features of Reservation Manager.

Follow these steps:

  1. Click Resources, and in the Explore tree, select OnDemand Services.
  2. In the OnDemand Services toolbar, click + (Add VMware vCenter Server).
  3. Select the vCenter Server or AppLogic Server to use and click OK.

    The dialog adds the vCenter or AppLogic server and its respective ESX host servers or AppLogic grids to the list of environment resources available for service provisioning.

  4. (Optional) Select ESX host servers or AppLogic grids and click - (Delete) to make them unavailable for service provisioning.
  5. Click Actions, Save.

    CA Server Automation updates the available resources for service provisioning.
