Add an OS Image to a Machine

CA Server Automation enables you to deploy an operating system image to a machine.

Follow these steps:

  1. Click Resources, right-click the machine to deploy to in the Explore tree, and select Provisioning, Re-Image.

    The Re-Image wizard opens.

  2. Enter valid credentials for the target machine.
  3. Select the Imaging Server and Image to deploy.
  4. (Optional) To deliver software with the image, select a Domain and Scalability Server to use and select the Template to deploy.
  5. Click OK.

    The image is provisioned on the computer and the status appears in the Imaging Status section. If the image is provisioned on a computer that was manually added (Add Resource), the computer is then discovered. You can view the events from imaging in the Dashboard.
