Create Templates for Package Groups

You can create templates for package groups and use them to provision systems with operating systems and applications in one deployment.

To add templates for package groups

  1. Go to Resources, Manage, Software, Manage Templates.
  2. Select Create New from the Actions drop-down menu.
  3. Select the package groups from the drop-down list that you want to add to the new template, then click Next.
  4. Select packages to add to the template. Select the packages you want to add and click Add to add them to the template. Then, select each package and from the drop-down list, select the procedure to run for each package
  5. Click Next.
  6. Specify the template name, select an OS type from the drop-down list, type an optional description for the new template, and click Finish.

    The new template is saved.
