Symptom:
I am restricted on the characters I can use in compliance and remedication jobs in the CA Configuration Automation interface.
Solution:
The CA Configuration Automation user interface and its SDK enforce different character sets for compliance and remediation job names. The SDK has more restrictions than the user interface. The CA Server Automation user interface calls the SDK to create or update compliance and remediation jobs, and therefore enforces the same restrictions as the SDK.
Although the CA Configuration Automation user interface lets you use the following characters for compliance and remediation job names, they are not supported in CA Server Automation: = & '" > < / \ ? : ; | + *
