CA AppLogic Supported Versions Are Not Documented

Symptom:

I want to use CA AppLogic, but the supported versions and requirements are not documented.

Solution:

CA Server Automation supports CA AppLogic 2.9 and 3.0. Review the following requirements.

Note: If your AppLogic grid controller does not have the required version of the web services application (WS_API) listed below, contact CA Support.

CA AppLogic 2.9

• The AppLogic grid controller requires web service application WS_API_R4 or later
• Verify that a WS_API application is provisioned, and that the WS_API server is configured

CA AppLogic 3.0

• The AppLogic grid controller requires WS_API_R8 or later
• Verify that a WS_API application is provisioned and configured using the Application Catalog Reference Guide
• Set up ACL access to the grid for the default WS_API user using the following example:
  1. Add the default user to the admin group.

     Group modify admin +local:user:api@anycomp.com
     

  2. Enable grid administrator access for the default user

     Grid modify_acl local:group:admin=grid_administrator
     

  3. Modify the ACL so all existing applications and templates are available in CA Server Automation.

     App modify_acl app_name modify_acl local:admin:full=yes
