IBM LPAR

In this release, CA Server Automation supports the following features:

CPU and Memory Resource Allocation

From the Quick Start panel, you can change share-based dynamic resource allocations and update profiles for CPU and Memory settings.

LPAR monitoring

SystemEDGE provides enhanced performance metrics for LPAR monitoring. The installation of the CA Performance LiteAgent is no longer required on an LPAR.

IBM Integrated Virtualization Manager (IVM)

A lower-cost alternative to the Hardware Management Console (HMC) for managing logical partitions. Runs on the Virtual I/O Server and does not require separate hardware.

LPAR AIM and Virtual I/O Server

The LPAR AIM Configuration in the Administration tab of the user interface has been enhanced to consider Virtual I/O Server dependencies. The user interface provides details about connections and states.
